Scholarships

Belleville/Albany Bobcat Youth Football, Inc. will award up to three $300 scholarships to applicants who are Seniors in Belleville or Albany High Schools and have enrolled in either a 4 year college or a vocational school.

To be eligible for one of the scholarships the applicant must have participated in Belleville/Albany High School football for a minimum of 2 years and Belleville/Albany Bobcat Youth Football for a minimum of 3 years.

For scholarship consideration:

  1. Complete and submit the application.
  2. Include two letters of recommendation from teachers, community members or football coaches.
  3. Include a typed essay of at least 300 words but no more than 500 with the following criteria:
    • What has football meant to you.
    • Your football experiences.
    • Your thoughts about the programs.
    • What life lessons you have learned from participation.
    • What you believe sets you apart from other applicants.
    • Your career plans after graduation.
  4. Copy of high school transcripts.
  5. The recipient(s) of the scholarship(s) will be notified by mail and at the awards program at each school. The scholarship will be awarded after you have completed one semester of college or vocational school. Before you receive the scholarship, you will need to submit your first semester grades (must be passing all classes) and your second semester class list. A check will be written out to both you and the school you are attending
